Lemon Pound Cake

  • 3 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter and room temp

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • zest of 2 lemons



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Mix flour, baking powder and salt.

  3. Using a mixer, blend butter and sugar. Mix in eggs.

  4. Mix in flour and milk and lemon zest

  5. Butter and flour a bundt pan, and pour batter in.

  6. Bake for 1 hour

Optional glaze:

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
