Fish Chowder
1-2 pounds white fish, cod, frozen is fine
2-3 potatoes, cubed
1 bottle clam juice
1 can chopped clams
1 box of fish broth
butter
3 slices bacon
2 cups water
quart of heavy cream
Worcester sauce
thyme
salt and pepper
parsley
Chop fish into chunks and cube potatoes.
In a large pot saute bacon: remove when cooked. Leave grease in the pot.
Saute potatoes then add fish broth, clams and water. Cook until potatoes are soft.
Add fish and cook 20 minutes.
And Worcester sauce, salt + pepper, thyme, heavy cream.
Garnish with parsley.
To thicken whisk together wondra flower, 2 tbsp butter, milk or cream and add to chowder.
