Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups/12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Using mixer combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and extract. Add eggs one at a time

  3. Add flour, baking soda and salt to the mixture and combine

  4. Add chocolate chips and nuts

  5. Form small/ medium size shapes on cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes
